CPRE is concerned with planning at two levels. We input to the process of preparing the local plans in Gloucestershire which guide development management decisions by our local authorities; and we scrutise individual planning applications responding where proposed developments would be damaging, and where necessary we engage with planning appeals.
Our focus is on trying to ensure that the principles of sustainable development are followed in plan making and in determining planning applications. The planning section of this website explains our approach relating to local plans and notes current progress in plan preparation across the county.
