2018 Branch AGM
Lack of Affordable Housing was a main topic at the 2018 AGM
There was a record turnout for the 2018 Branch AGM held at the Renishaw’s ‘state of the art’ Innovation Centre which had recieved a CPRE Gloucestershire Award in 2016. Before and after the more formal business, those who wished were able to view demonstrations of Renishaw’s frontiers-of-technology applications, ranging from in-built precision measuring equipment to three-dimensional printing. The highlight of the afternoon was the talk by our guest speaker, Baroness Young of Old Scone.

CPRE is concerned that A417 Missing Link proposals are not good enough for the Cotswolds AONB
21 February 2018
Although CPRE welcomes the Government’s commitment to deliver a road scheme to resolve long-standing problems of congestion, road safety and air quality, the environment charity has serious concerns about present proposals. The environmental sensitivity of the Crickley Hill area cannot be overstated. As part of the designated Cotswolds AONB, this dramatic landscape has important nationally recognised wildlife habitats and ancient monuments. All these factors demand a road scheme designed to embrace environmental considerations at its very heart rather than as an add on.
