New Chairman elected at CPRE Gloucestershire 2016 AGM

At its 2016 AGM held on 4th May at Stowell Park, Mike Mackey was elected as the new Branch Chair of CPRE Gloucestershire, taking over from Charlie Watson. The keynote speech was given by Jonathon Porritt.

This document has been produced by CPRE Gloucestershire Branch to help decide when to get involved in planning applications and the matters to be considered.
While aimed primarily at CPRE's districts, the criteria and matters to be considered will be of wider interest and may be particularly useful for Parish Councils.
Land Management
The actions of farmers will largely determine how the landscape of Gloucestershire evolves. CPRE recognises that good management of the landscape depends on the viability of farming. Our policies support farm businesses and diversification but in a way which should also help deliver environmental objectives.

Countryside Stewardship in Gloucestershire
CPRE Gloucestershire encourages farmers and land managers to make full use of Countryside Stewardship where possible. An outline of the scheme is provided here together with a link to Government website for full information. Advice is also available from the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group
